PactPalTerms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Culverin Quantum Systems Limited (RC 9083558), the company that runs PactPal. By creating an account you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
1. Who can use PactPal
You must be at least 18, live in Nigeria, and give us accurate information. One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done with your account.
2. Your wallet
- Your wallet holds Naira you top up through our payment provider, Bachs. PactPal doesn't pay interest.
- Top-ups are between ₦1,000 and ₦500,000. Money you top up can be used straight away and withdrawn after 24 hours.
- Withdrawals go to a Nigerian bank account you've verified in the app. The minimum is ₦1,000 and each withdrawal costs ₦50.
- If a withdrawal fails, the full amount including the fee goes back to your wallet.
- We may hold or reverse a transaction we reasonably believe is fraudulent, and we may ask you to verify your identity.
3. Goal pacts
- When you join a goal pact, your stake leaves your wallet and is held until the pact ends. You can't withdraw it early.
- You finish a pact if you check in on at least 70% of its days and post at least one proof that the group doesn't reject. A proof is rejected only if at least two members, and more than half of the other members, flag it.
- When the pact ends, everyone who finished gets their stake back plus an equal share of 80% of what the people who didn't finish staked. PactPal keeps the other 20%. If nobody finishes, everyone gets their stake back in full.
- You can't join a pact once there aren't enough days left to finish it.
- Check in honestly. Fake proofs and coordinated cheating break these terms.
4. Ajo circles
- Members pay the same amount each round from their wallets. Each round, one member collects what was paid in, minus a 2% fee, in the order fixed when the circle starts.
- The organiser (Alajo) can release a round early only when everyone has paid. Otherwise the round releases automatically 24 hours after it's due, and anyone who hasn't paid is marked as missed.
- PactPal runs the circle but doesn't guarantee that other members will pay. Only join circles with people you trust.
5. PactCoins and match pacts
PactCoins are free points you earn in the app. They can't be bought, sold, transferred outside the app or exchanged for money, and they have no cash value. Match pacts use PactCoins only.
6. Your content and behaviour
You're responsible for what you post, including your name, photo, pact titles, proofs and messages. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post anything that is hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, illegal, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't use PactPal to scam people or move money for someone else. You can report content and block users in the app. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

8. Closing your account
You can delete your account in the app. Before you do, withdraw your balance and wait for any pact or Ajo circle you're in to finish. If your balance is below the withdrawal minimum, you can choose to give it up when you delete your account. We may close your account if you break these terms; we'll return any balance we lawfully can.
9. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep PactPal running and your money accurate, but we can't promise the service will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by other users, your bank, or events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using PactPal after that, the new terms apply.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes go to the courts of Lagos State.
